Eh, I wouldn't play one, personally, but I don't have a problem with others playing one. Got no major beefs with Dwarves.
Oh and Zinger, you need a vacation.

There are lots of stuff that's the same or almost the same in GW as in WoW, for example some of the spells, but to stay on the topic. If Dwarfs are added to the game they must add Elves and Gnomes and and and... So that will change the whole GW, and don't want that to happen. There is a reason I play GW and not WoW or any other MMO....and it's because GW is different!!
Please don't make it the same!!

well..I personally would like Anet to focus on the new "original" races, but dwarves are already an important part of the gw lore, so I dont think they will ignore them as a playable race...plus the shiverpeaks need competition...
jungle---------sylvari/asuras...nature vs technology
shiverpeaks----norn/dwarves ..gigants vs well drwarves
ascalon area---humans/charr...mankind vs beasts
Im sure dwarves will be playable
well...after thinking about it I want dwarves ^^ deldrimor dwarves want nice armor too!

I'm not sure if you noticed but Dwarves are already in the game, quite a lot, in the Shiverpeaks, and we have had elves too, Right arund Christmas, you could even turn yourself into one, and now there is a mini-pet. Haven't seen a Gnome yet, but who's to say.
I would Like Dwarves in the game as playable charcters, My first RPG was Dragonlance, which I played on my Amstrad back in the 80's, loved dwarves.
Variety is good, and as long as the graphics are better than the cartoonish WoW I'll like it
This is a fantasy world and as long as it stays that way I'll be happy, I'll worry when we get the Martians invading,

Dwarves are ok, but if you had to make a choice between... say Tengu and Dwarves, I'd pick the Tengu!

I fail to see how this has any relevance whatsoever.
Personally, I'm against it. Even if the races are aesthetic, I prefer the base premise of human guilds fighting each other, and excessive decoration just seems to distract from the core of the game to me.

I'd hate to play with dwarfs or someone that plays with them... I hate asura too but hey if my dreams come true, NOONE will play asura and we will all be asura free!

Ehm, WoW didnt think up all of their stuff by themselves you know? They took lots of things from other games.
And if Dwarves are added to the game they dont HAVE to add Elves, Gnomes and stuff. That said i am afraid they will do it anyway: Sylvaari or whatever that race is called will likely take the place the Elves hold in other MMO's, while Asura will likely fill the Gnomes role despite diffrences in appearance.
They dont have to, but im afraid that A-net might be making a big mistake and doing it anyway. But its to early to truly be able to predict that now.

I think dwarves would be a fun addition, I've always liked the short angry folk that drink too much and carry around big hammers I like the idea of playable races other than humans in the GW world, but I think it would be best if they stuck to the races that they already have introduced. I already don't care for the look of the Asura, little too much on the 'cute' side for my taste.

Dwarves are a standard in RPGs since the dawn of time... I can't imagine anyone would be upset about the addition of them.
And if we are afraid of copying other games... what the hell do you think the Sylvari are other than elves? I mean... The Sylvan Forests are the home of the elves... in a fantasy book I love "In Sylvan Shadows" is a chapter entirely about elves...
And the Asurans - supposed to be short, extremely intelligent, and have a new kind of magic (technology anyone)... what are these other than a glorified Gnome race?
Honestly... I don't think there would be any hurt in adding Dwarves as a playable race, the standard RPG races return in EVERY fantasy game from the start of D&D to the end of virtual reality about 10 years from now...
